A Regular License is the standard license granted to a customer who purchases or lawfully downloads a Digital Asset from Pikvector.
The Regular License allows the customer to use the asset as part of an end product or completed creative work, provided that the asset itself is not redistributed, resold, sublicensed, or made available for extraction or download.
Typical permitted uses may include:
Unlimited use
For personal projects
Websites and blogs
Social media graphics
Advertisements and marketing materials
Presentations
Business documents
Digital graphics
Printed promotional materials
Merchandise where the asset is incorporated into a larger finished design
The Regular License does not transfer ownership or copyright of the original asset.
The customer may not sell, share, redistribute, sublicense, or provide the original asset or substantially similar source file to another person.
An Extended License provides additional usage rights beyond the Regular License for specific commercial or high-volume applications.
Depending on the particular Extended License purchased, it may permit uses such as:
Unlimited use
Commercial client projects
High-volume physical production
Mass-market merchandise
Products manufactured for resale
Templates intended for resale
Applications or software where the asset forms part of the product
Products distributed to a large number of end users
Certain print-on-demand applications
Other uses specifically identified by Pikvector
An Extended License does not transfer copyright or ownership of the original Digital Asset to the customer.
The customer still may not sell or redistribute the original asset as a standalone file, upload it to another stock marketplace, create a competing asset library, or make the original source file available for extraction.
Regular License means the standard, non-exclusive, non-transferable license granted to a customer to use a Digital Asset as incorporated into an authorized personal or commercial end product. The Regular License does not permit the customer to redistribute, resell, sublicense, share, or otherwise make the original Digital Asset available as a standalone or extractable file.
Extended License means an enhanced license that grants additional usage rights beyond the Regular License for qualifying commercial applications specified by Pikvector. The Extended License does not transfer ownership or copyright of the Digital Asset and does not permit redistribution or resale of the original Digital Asset unless expressly stated in writing by Pikvector.
For Pikvector, I'd also recommend having separate license limits for Regular and Extended rather than saying "Extended = unlimited use." This gives you much better control over high-value assets and prevents customers from interpreting an extended license as ownership.
